I love diving into tricky problems and leveraging design to make life a little easier, happier, and more delightful. I believe at its root, design can function as a powerful tool of compassion, and keep this in mind on every project.
I see the User Experience forest for the User Interface trees - but especially love when I get to play in both. I am especially keen to employ design to explore Augmented/Virtual/Mixed Realities, Machine Learning and Artificial (General) Intelligence, and future technologies in general.
I'm an avid traveler, art and music-lover. I'm generally obsessed with electronic/organic/experimental and ambient music; recently most especially the mellifluous sounds of Nils Frahm, Grandbrothers, Chassol.
A few dreams (some more realistic than others) I harbor are: reaching a point of full-financial freedom, becoming a permanent traveler (PT), working on cutting-edge AR projects, riding a motorcycle around the continent of South America, making an experimental short-film, and learning to bake the perfect pastry.
I was a member of the first 400-hour User Experience Design immersive program at General Assembly in Austin, and received my BFA from the lovely Loyola University Chicago, minoring in Philosophy.
I am also a E-RYT 500+ hour certified yoga teacher. I initially trained at the Sivananda Ashram in Kerala, India, and have since trained and taught at conferences, retreats and workshops around the world, and have a full spectrum of classes available here.
